September 9, 2009 Tokyo Differ Ariake in Tokyo, Japan.
Second Round Match-upsBout #1: Hiroshi Tanahashi (EZ) vs. Tokyo Magnum (RFA) - Tanahashi looked great, as he took advantage of Magnum's injuries that he sustained back in RFA. Tanahashi used his Bridging Dragon Suplex at 8:33 to advance to Night #3. Bout #2: Sabu (SMW) vs. Dean Malenko (EZ) - These two former ECW stars hooked up here in this second round match up. Sabu tried to push the action from the start, as Malenko used his technical skills to keep Sabu from getting any solid pin attempts. Malenko used his Texas Cloverleaf to win at 15:50 after he raised his knees up during a top rope splash. Bout #3: Bryan Danielson (EZ) vs. Chris Beniot (TCW) - This match was brutal throughout, as both men blistered each other with stinging chops and brutal kicks. Benoit went for German Suplex, but Danielson was able to stun him with a huge back elbow and then was able to use MMA elbow strikes to wear down Benoit. Danielson was able to lock on the Cattle Mutilation to advance at 13:00. Bout #4: Christopher Daniels (SMW) vs. Jushin Liger (EZ) - Another classic bout unfolded here, as The Fallen Angel knew that he was in for a real battle with the legend Liger. Daniels nailed his BME, but Liger was able to get his shoulder up, as the crowd roared for their hero. Liger battled back delivered his Liger Bomb at 12:19 to win this great match. non-tournament boutsBout #5: DWA Mid-Atlantic Heavyweight Championship Match Super Strong Machine vs. Verne Gagne (c) - Super Strong blasted Verne from the get go with some hard hitting suplexes. He has been very vocal in the back about he can not stand Verne's comments about the guys in Elite Zero Pro. Machine went for a pinfall at each opportunity, but Verne was able to escape. Verne escaped to the outside and tried to walk away. Super Strong Machine grew furious and grabbed a chair. He smashed Verne with the steel chair and knocked the champion to the ground. The ref called for the DQ at 11:56, giving Gagne the win, even if he was the one left laying. Bout #6: Yuji Nagata vs. Duke Droese - Droese's knee seems to be still hurt from his last bout. Nagata took full advantage of this throughout the entire match. Nagata used his Nagata Lock to win at 8:50. After the bout, Droese needed to be helped from the ring. Main EventBout #7: Elite Zero Pro Tag Team Championship Match Akira Nogami & Animal Hamaguchi vs. Team Black (c) - Muta and Chono looked good again here, as they used fast tags and high impact moves to keep Akira and Animal off-balance. Muta drove Animal out to the floor, as Chono nailed his Yakuza Kick to win over Nogami at 14:17 and keep their gold.

September 10, 2009 Tokyo Differ Ariake in Tokyo, Japan.
Third Round Match-ups: Semi-FinalsBout #1: Hiroshi Tanahashi vs. Dean Malenko - A solid match to open the 3rd night of this tournament, as Hiroshi looked solid against Malenko. Dean was able to kick out of the Bridging Dragon Suplex, which stunned the crowd. Malenko had Tanahashi locked in the Texas Cloverleaf, but Hiroshi grabbed the bottom ropes. Both men laid it on the line, going all out. Tanahashi nailed a top rope splash to take the win at 17:16. Bout #2: Bryan Danielson vs. Jushin Liger - This match-up has been talked about since the tournament was announced. Both men were considered to be favorites entering, but only one gets to the finals. The fans were buzzing from the start and they were not disappointed. Great action, as both men scored with hard hitting offense. Liger nailed a running Liger Bomb, but Danielson's head was under the ropes to stop the count. Liger was able to escape the Cattle Mutilation and survived several MMA elbows. Liger battled back, but Danielson used several suplexes to drive the Legend back down and locked on a Triangle Choke at 27:48 to secure the win. At the end of the bout, both men shoke hands in a sign of respect. non-tournament boutsBout #3 Super Strong Machine vs. Akira Nogami - Machine dominated throughout the bout and never let up. He nailed his Devil Windmill Suplex to win at 8:50. Machine is still angry about the previous night's match with Gagne. Bout #4: Masa Saito vs. Blue Demon - Demon just returned from his tour of RFA and looked good early, as he used his lucha libre style to score some fast offense against the powerful Saito. Saito was able to turn the tables and used his Saito Suplex to take the win at 9:01. Bout #5: Elite Zero Grand Championship Match Missing Link vs. Hiroyoshi Tenzan (c) - Link moved around in his usual unorthodox way. Tenzan started with some harsh chops that did not seem to register with the large beast. Tenzan turned up the heat and that awoke the Link. The match turned into a brutal back and forth affair, with Link not attempting many pins, but tossing Tenzan to the floor repeatedly. The champ was bidding his time and when he had an opening he sprung into action. Tenzan used his Moonsault to retain his gold at 20:10. -- INTERMISSION -- Bout #6: Duke Droese vs. Suwama - The debuting Suwama attacked Duke's hurt knee straight from the start of the bout. Duke is in serious trouble, when Suwama pinned him with his Bridging German Suplex to win at 6:09. After the match, Suwama makes a V M sign with his fingers and locks on a kneebar. Droese is screaming in pain, as the ref has to pull him off. Suwama makes the V M again into the camera, as he leaves the ring. Bout #7: Akira Maeda vs. CW Anderson - A good match up here, as both men looked great in the bout. Maeda took control and then used his capture suplex to take the win at 12:07. Main Event[/b] Junior Heavyweight Championship FinalsBout #8: Hiroshi Tanahashi vs. Bryan Danielson - Tanahashi looks well rested, while Danielson's chest and arms still show the red welts from his tangle with Liger. The match started slow, with both men feeling each other out. They took turns using locks and holds to wear the other down, until Tanahashi went low with a boot and opened up with some vicious chokes. Danielson was able to kick out of the Bridging German Suplex twice and the Dragon sleeper. Danielson battled back, but Hiroshi escaped the Cattle Mutilation by hooking the ropes with his foot. Danielson used a diving headbutt and a Yakuza kick, but could only score a 2-count. The action raged back and forth, until Danielson locked on the Cattle Mutilation. Tanahashi would not quit, so Danielson floated over used some MMA strikes to the face to soften him up and reapplied the Cattle Mutilation. Tanahashi passed out in the hold at 32:16, which brought the fans to their feet. The Japanese fans were very appreciative of the action, as Danielson held the belt high. He extended his hand to Tanahashi, who just got back to his feet. Tanahashi turned his back on the champ and left the ring. Danielson looked disappointed in Hiroshi, but the fans showed their love for the newly crowned champion.

Excellent long descriptions for the matches there, Jason! Danielson will have his hands full defending the Belt, that's for sure!

[glow=limegreen,2,300]Elite Zero Pro Wrestling [/glow] [/size] House Show September 30, 2009 Tokyo Differ Ariake in Tokyo, Japan. Bout #1: Blue Demon vs. Duke Droese - Demon used his fast paced offense to down the injured Duke with a sunset flip Bout #2: BxB Hulk vs. CIMA - These two young stars fly around the ring and looked great, as both men looked impressive. The fans roared when CIMA used his Mad Splash to win. Bout #3: Meng vs. Dragon Kid - Meng (aka Haku) looked awesome and wasted no motion or time grounding the high flying, high spirited Dragon Kid. A huge Thrust Kick spelled the end here tonight. Bout #4: Suwama vs. CW Anderson - Suwama looked super cocky heading to the ring and attacked CW before the bell. Suwama scored several close falls, but was unable to secure the win. Suwama went to the eyes and then used his Bridging German Suplex to win here. Suwama flashed the V M hand signs again. Main EventBout #5: Hiroshi Tanahashi vs. Shingo - Tanahashi impressed a lot of people with his run in the Jr Hvy tournament and knows that he is in line for another shot at the gold, as long as he stays hot. Shingo wants that title shot himself, so both men looked lights out here in the main event. Tanahashi used his Bridging Dragon Suplex to take the hard-fought win.

[glow=limegreen,2,300]Elite Zero Pro Wrestling [/glow] [/size] House Show October 7, 2009 Fuji City Hall [glow=orange,2,300]Fall Navigation Tour[/glow] Bout #1: Cyber Kong vs. Dean Malenko - A great opener, as both men looked great. Malenko used his superior technical skill to slow Kong down and to not relinquish control. Malenko used his Texas Cloverleaf to win at 11:20. Bout #2: Super Strong Machine vs. CW Anderson - This match started out without incident, until the Holy Demon Army (Kawada and Taue) stormed the ring and attacked both men. The ref had no choice but to rule the bout a No Contest. This also lead to an impromptu match. Bout #3: Super Strong Machine & CW Anderson vs. Holy Demon Army - Even though Machine and Anderson are not regular tag team partners, they looked impressive. Machine scored a near fall on Taue with his Devil Windmill Suplex, but Kawada made the save. Anderson also scored a near fall on Kawada following a huge Spinebuster, but Taue's boot sent him to the floor. Kawada and Taue took over and Kawada scored the pin after his Powerbomb on Anderson at 21:09. Bout #4: Jushin Liger vs. Dragon Kid - Liger, coming off his lose in the finals of the Junior Heavyweight Championship tournament, wanted to make a statement here tonight. He never let Dragon Kid get in any offense, as he dominated him from bell to bell, winning at 5:47 with his Liger Bomb. First Half Main EventBout #5: Junior Heavyweight Championship Match - RFA vs. Elite ZeroSteve Blackman vs. Bryan Danielson (c) - These two clashed in the Battle Royal at the Hostile Territory PPV and the bad blood has now spilled into the Land of the Rising Sun. Neither man gave an quarter here, as they went back and forth blistering each other with chops and kicks. Danielson used is suplexes to work over the martial artist, Blackman. Blackman was looking good, when Danielson ducked a clothesline and then used a suplex to take Blackman to the mat. Danielson used his MMA strikes to wear down the RFA star even more and slapped on the Cattle Mutilation to take the win at 17:55 and retain his title. --- INTERMISSION --- Bout #6: Riki Choshu vs. Masa Saito - The first match back from the intermission was a much anticipated clash of two true Japanese icons. Choshu and Saito started the bout at the bell and did not let up throughout the entire bout. The pounding that these two men laid on each other was truly one for the ages, as neither man backed down. Choshu nearly scored a pin fall on Masa after two of his Riki Lariats. Masa answered Riki's lariats, with his own. Choshu went for another Lariat, but Masa ducked it. Saito used his Saito Suplex to down Riki at 19:40. Bout #7: Suwama vs. Hayabusa - Hayabusa makes his official debut for Elite Zero as a member of the roster and not just as a guest. Hayabusa went at Suwama fast, but the bigger man pasted him with huge forearm blows. The action spilled out of the ring and they battled on the floor. Hayabusa was slammed into the ring post, as Suwama grabbed a chair. Suwama blasted Hayabusa with a huge chair shot. The ref was ordering them to get back in the ring. Suwama made like he was going to slide in the ring, but stomped Hayabusa in the groin and drove a knee into his throat. Suwama rolled back in and the ref had no choice but to count Hayabusa out of the ring at 6:37. Suwama looked pleased with himself and then flashed the V M hand-signs again to the crowd. Main EventBout #8: Tag Team Championship Match - GLW vs. Elite ZeroDudley Boyz vs. Team Black (c) - This international dream match has been making the rounds of late. The match started slow, as both team felt each other out. The Dudleys started to show their size advantage and use their power to turn things in their favor. The Dudleys tried to isolate Chono, but Muta disrupted those plans. The match went back and forth for a while, with both teams making good use of their tags. Devon eat a Yakuza kick and was sent to the floor. Bubba nailed Chono with a clubbing forearm, but Muta spit mist into his eyes. Chono hit the ropes and nailed his Yakuza kick on Bubba, which drove him to a knee. Muta nailed Bubba with a Shining Wizard at 26:15 to retain their titles. The fans were very appreciative of the effort these men put forth.
