Gordon announces that the Georgia tag titles are vacant and a tournament will be held in the near future to crown new champions. Speaking of champions, a round robin tournament will start next week with the winner earning a ’Money in the Bank’ Georgia title shot at any time the winner so chooses. Gordon announces the participants as Buddy Rogers, Mil Mascaras, Johnny Valentine, Nick Bockwinkel, and Bret Hart. 3. Terry Funk beat up on BG James, winning with the Spinning Toehold. James didn’t go down without a fight but the result was never in doubt. 4. Jack Brisco/Johnny Valentine def. Buddy Rogers/Dan Severn with a Johnny Valentine Atomic Skullcrusher on Dan Severn. Bundy came down without a partner but waved to the back and out came Sawyer. The two teams battled each other all over the ring and ringside area before the referee had enough and declared the match a no contest. The Road Warriors haul Sawyer up for the Doomsday Device but shockingly, Paul Ellering pushes Hawk off the turnbuckle and Hawk crashes through the ringside table. Animal goes to confront Ellering but Bundy chases him from the ring. Ellering enters the ring, raising the hands of Bundy and Sawyer, and proclaims them the real Legion of Doom.

Ox has done really well. I never expected him to win the belt from Mil Mascaras and definitely never expected him to keep it this long. Buddy Rogers will be a definite challenge for Ox.
