[glow=yellow,2,300]Great Lake Wrestling[/glow] Card #13: House Show - 9/13/09
Bout #1: Shane Douglas vs. Kendall Windham - Shane won with his Belly-to-Belly Suplex.
Bout #2: Mitsuhara Misawa vs. Barry Horowitz - Misawa won easily against Barry with his Tiger Driver.
Bout #3: Rob van Dam vs. Sandman (sub for Ultimate Warrior) - This match was ruled to be a No Contest, as Warrior rushes the ring and attacks both men. This earned him a huge can shot across the face and van Daminator. The crowd went nuts for RVD and Sandman, as they left Warrior laying in the center of the ring.
Bout #4: GLW TV Title Match Hector Garza vs. Brock Lesnar (c) - Brock used his size to dominate this match and his F5 to retain.
Bout #5: Yokozuna & Don Leo Jonathan vs. Al Snow & Marty Janetty - The two huge men form a new powerhouse team here and they took apart Al and Marty. Yoko used his Banzai Splash to score the pin on Marty.
Main Event Bout #6: GLW Heavyweight Championship Match Frank Gotch vs. Tully Blanchard (w/ Bobby Heenan) - Gotch looked great here, as he never allowed Tully to get in any offense. Tully was locked in the Gotch Toehold, as the crowd thought they would see a new champion. Heenan came into the ring and nailed Gotch with a chair. The ref called for the bell, DQing Tully, but allowing the Horsemen to retain the gold.

[glow=yellow,2,300]Great Lake Wrestling[/glow] Card #14: TV Show - 9/18/09
Dark Match: Barry Horowitz vs. Al Snow - Snow looked good and got the fans going when he used his Snow-Plow to take the win.
Televised Bouts:
*As the show began, Paul Heyman came out at the top of the ramp holding a mic.
Heyman: As some of you may already know, there has been a change in management around here. The GLW will now start to take the shape that the new owner wants it to have. The first thing is that I am now General Manager here in Great Lakes. I know what the new owner wants and we have talked about the way this company will grow, as we go forward. First off, some people who figured they were nice and safe here, without doing a whole lot, will be seeing a serious shake up. The first one to go was Roddy Piper. While some of you love him, he did not fit the new vision...and these two men do. Let me introduce the two newest members of the GLW roster: Bob Roop and Dick the Bruiser! {Both men come out to a warm reaction.} In fact, Bob will be in action tonight in our opening match-up. But before we get to that bout, I just wanted to let everyone know that tonight's main event will be Frank Gotch vs. Tully Blanchard for the GLW Championship! And the title can change hands on DQs! {Huge POP!} Lets get to the action.
Bout #1: Bob Roop vs. Kendall Windham - Bob looks impressive in his first match here in GLW, using a textbook suplex to take the victory.
Bout #2: Shane Douglas vs. Billy Varga - Shane is looking to get back in the TV title picture, as he wants another shot to get his gold back. Varga had some quick offense, but Shane was too much for him and used his Belly-to-Belly Suplex to win again here this show.
Bout #3: Don Muraco vs. Booker T - This match-up of stars trying to carve out a niche for themselves here in GLW was intense throughout. Booker T was not able to hold down the big man's shoulders, but not for lack of trying. Muraco battled back and used his power advantage to beat down Booker. Muraco scored the win with his Hawaiian Hammer in this outstanding bout.
Bout #4: Ted DiBiase vs. David Hart Smith - DiBiase used his veteran knowledge to out trick and upend the younger Smith. David turned into the Loaded Black Glove and was pinned by DiBiase.
Bout #5: GLW TV Championship Match George Hackenschmidt vs. Brock Lesnar (c) - Hackenschmidt was accompanied by Frank Gotch on the way to the ring. Gotch was standing at ringside, as Lesnar and Hackenschmidt blasted each other with their intense power. Some great counter wrestling showed how seriously both men took this bout and this championship. Lesnar's size was eventually too much for Hackenschmidt, who was polished off with an F5. Lesnar was able to retain his gold.
*As the match ended, Tully Blanchard and Demolition came out of the crowd and attacked Gotch. Lesnar grabbed his belt and walked out, as Tully and Demolition busted open Gotch's head and hurt his knee. Hackenschmidt was able to get out of the ring, but Smash caught him with a chair shot. Mike DiBiase and Danny Hodge raced out to make the save, as the attackers retreated through the crowd.
Bout #6: Yokozuna & Don Leo Jonathan vs. Hector Garza & Jeff Jarrett - These two huge men look impressive here again in their second teaming, as they dominated their opponents. Yokozuna again used his Banzai Drop to finish off an opponent, this time Garza was the unlucky recipient.
Bout #7: Sandman vs. Rob van Dam - As Sandman was on his way to the ring, with "Enter Sandman" blarred over the PA system, Justin Credible burst through the curtain and smashed the Sandman across the head with the Singapore Cane. The ref called for a No Contest, as the Sandman went down hard, but grabbed his own cane and chased Justin into the back. Paul Heyman comes out, as RVD walks to the back.
Paul Heyman: Well, it seems that Mr. Gotch will not be able to compete tonight in the main event. {Boos!} Yeah, I know, Tully acts like he runs the show, but we all know he doesn't. I do. So, Blanchard, get your ass out here! {Tully and Bobby Heenan come out to the ring} So, you think you have a night off now that you injured Gotch. {Tully smiles, as the crowd Boos!} Well, I am not about to let these fans down, so you have a match alright...{"Walk" by Pantera starts to play, as the crowd explodes}...ROB VAN DAM! And, Weasel, you are not staying, you are banned form ringside!
Main Event Bout #8: GLW Heavyweight Championship Match Rob van Dam vs. Tully Blanchard (c) - This match-up has been seen several times before, but without Heenan and the fact that the title can change hands on DQs, this match-up seems very different. RVD and Tully both pulled out all the stops here, as neither man wanted to come up the loser tonight. Tully scored a near pinfall after his Slingshot Suplex, but RVD escaped. Tully whipped RVD into the buckle, but eat an knee when he charged in. RVD never slowed down, as he pressed the advantage and used his Five Star Frog Splash to take the win and the gold. {Paul Heyman comes out again.}
Heyman: Congratulations RVD! Way to go! But, the surprises don't stop there. Tully, grab all your crap...because you are gone! Have a good time in SMW, because you have been traded. {The crowd is stunned.} Now, the GLW is starting to take shape...make sure to tune into every show, because you never know what you will see!

[glow=yellow,2,300]Great Lake Wrestling[/glow] Card #15: House Show - 9/22/09
Bout #1: Yokozuna & Don Leo Jonathan vs. Kendall Windham & Jeff Jarrett - This huge team is on a roll, as they dominate throughout and then Yokozuna took the win at 10:00 with his Banzai Splash on Jeff.
Bout #2: Ted DiBiase vs. Curt Hennig - Curt's debut match is not an easy one, as he faces off with DiBiase. This was a great match, as both greats showed that they are willing to lay it all on the line. Curt scored the pinfall at 17:50 with his Hennig-plex.
Bout #3: GLW TV Championship Match Frank Gotch vs. Brock Lesnar (c) - This was a classic wrestling match, with each man showing a pure wrestling style to open the match. Gotch locked on his Toehold, but was unable to finish off the bigger Lesnar. Brock was able to use his power advantage to gain the advantage, before George Hackenschmidt stormed the ring and nailed Brock with a huge clothesline. The ref called for the DQ at 13:07, as Gotch and Hackenschmidt pummeled the champion, until Brock was able to get back to his feet and drive them out.
Bout #4: Bret Hart vs. Ultimate Warrior - Bret controlled the entire match, as he never let Warrior get off any offense. Bret won via The Sharpshooter at 13:09.
Bout #5: DWA Mid-Atlantic Championship Nick Bockwinkle vs. Verge Gagne - This title match was scheduled last minute, as Verne was able to make it back from Japan in time. A good match, with both men using their extensive knowledge to turn the tide in their favor. Verne locked on the Sleeper at 19:09 to retain the gold.
Main Event Bout #6: GLW Tag Team Championship Match The Fantastics vs. Demolition (c) - The tag champions looked great here tonight, as they never let The Fantastics establish any rhythm. Smash pinned Rogers at 20:17 after Demolition's Decapitation.

Bout #4: The Fantastics vs. Yokozuna & Don Leo Jonathan - The big men looked impressive once again, as they used their size and power to wear down Rogers and Fulton. Yokozuna used his Banzai Drop to pin Rogers at 10:36.
Bout #5: Mitsuhara Misawa vs. The Ultimate Warrior - Misawa showed why he is the superior wrestler, as he dominated Warrior and used his Tiger Driver to win at 9:07.
Main Event Bout #6: GLW Heavyweight Championship Match Bret Hart vs. Rob van Dam (c) - A great back and forth war, as Hart showed that he wanted to taste gold again. RVD held him off and never allowed Bret a clean shot at the Sharpshooter. RVD got control and nailed his 5 Star Frog Splash to retain the championship at 22:10. After the bout, both men shook hands in a sign of respect.

[glow=yellow,2,300]Great Lake Wrestling[/glow] Card #18: TV Taping: 9/30/09
Dark Match: Chris Candido (w/ Sunny) vs. Savage-T (w/ KJ Hill) - Candido wins with his Blonde Bombshell at 5:19.
The GLW TV opening plays
Commissioner Paul Heyman walks out to the ring, with a mic.
Heyman: I told you that things were going to change around here. The last time we had a TV taping, we had a vastly different roster. The new owner has molded it in his image and that has been going on the whole time. I would like to take this opportunity to introduce the reigning DWA Intercontinental Tag Team Champions....The Road Warriors! {Huge POP, as The Road Warriors walked out to the ring}
Hawk: Well....it seems that the brain trust down in Georgia decided that we were too dangerous to keep around...so they made the trade that took us from that small market, into the biggest market in the DWA! Not too smart....but they are Southern! {Huge Pop}
Heyman: Well, gentlemen, as we know this Sunday you will be facing Sudden Impact for the gold and everyone is looking forward to that match. I there anything you want to say.
Animal: Yeah! We are coming to kick ass and chew bubble gum.
Hawk: And we're all outta bubble gum!
The Road Warriors walk out, as the crowd cheers their hearts out
Bout #1: Curt Hennig vs. Mike DiBiase - Curt looked great against the sometimes partner of his father. DiBiase used his cunning to turn the tide briefly, but Curt took over and finished off Mike with his Hennig-plex at 13:50.
Bout #2: Bob Roop vs. Scott Hall - This match never got started, as Nash jumped Roop on his way to the ring. The DWA World Tag Champions started beating on Roop, until Dick the Bruiser stormed out and blindsided Hall with a huge clothesline. A wild brawl erupted and it took everyone from Atlas Security to break things up.
Bout #3: Taz vs. Larry Hennig - This match was hard hitting from the start. Larry scored several near falls to open the match, but was not able to keep the smaller Taz down. The Path of Rage started building, as Taz fired back up and used his suplexes to wear down the wrestling vet. Taz locked on his Tazmission at 10:46 to take the win.
Bout #4: GLW TV Title Match Sandman vs. Brock Lesnar (c) - Lesnar came out first and was pacing the ring, as the Sandman went through his beer drinking ritual on the way to the ring. As soon as the bell rung, Brock was all over the former ECW champion. Brock wore him down and used his wrestling skills to keep the Sandman off balance. Brock used his F5 to retain the gold at 10:33.
Bout #5: Billy Varga vs. Al Snow - Snow dominated the lighter competitor and was able to secure the win with his Snow-Plow at 7:15.
Main Event Bout #6: Mid-Atlantic Heavyweight Championship Match Shane Douglas vs. Verne Gagne (c) - Before the match, Verne was ranting about how he should not have to wrestle a "garbage wrestler" like Douglas. Douglas bidded his time, while Verne's ramblings got more and more insane. As the match starts, Shane wrestled a solid technical match. Verne began to get frustrated, as he tossed Douglas to the outside. Shane and Verne battled on the floor, until Verne snapped and grabbed a chair. He smashed Shane in the face with a huge, over-head chair shot. Shane, whose forehead exploded with blood, fell to the ground. The ref called for the bell at 12:01, awarding the match to Douglas. But Verne retains the title, do to the DQ. Verne kept smashing Shane with the chair. Out of the crowd Bam Bam Bigelow grabbed Verne and took the chair away from him. Candido, with Sunny in tow, also raced out to help Douglas. As Verne left the ringside area, Bam Bam and Candido helped Douglas to his feet. The 3 men embraced and flashed the triple threat hand sign, as the crowd roared.
